| Layout Gallery - The Information Site |
Did you always have the desire to publish a description with pictures of your own layout? But no desire to create an own homepage therefore extra because of the large expenditure? Also no possibilty to publish your layout in a model railway magazine, because it does not correspond to the criteria demanded there?
This layout gallery is supposed to give model railöway friends the opportunity to publish their layout with a description and pictures. Layouts of every gauge and every system can be presented. Here, it doesn't bother anybody if you have layed old Märklin M tracks on your layout or if the turnout actuators aren't installed unter the baseboard, and there's no duty to check with a slide gauge if your locos or your accessoires are "true to scale". Model railroading is fun, and not a science! No place for such "model railroaders" who demand that everything has to be uncompromisingly true to prototype and true to scale. Creating quite a lot of rules, prohiobitions and dogmas such people spoil not only their own but also others' fun on model railways.
The advantages of this layout gallery are obvious. First, you haven't to look after webspace, you aslso needn't to acquaint the page yourselves. And, does it really make any sense to create a large number of small websites which all have only few visitors? Isn't it better to present your layout in a in such a moire extensive gallery?
So, here the manual:
Please send me your material via email! I'm looking forward for the descriptions and photos of your layouts!
