Mountain Lodge - Converting A Toy Into A Model

This house has an interesting origin - originally it was not suposed to be a model, but a simple toy. I got this house casually on a flea market. At once I saw the chance to convert it into a nice model. The house had, as I wrote before, toy character,  toy: the door could be opened, the roof was removable, the windows had no window panes. As the first step, the door was replaced the door - the door opening was widened, in order to put in a door from an AUHAGEN set. Likewise, the brickwork aorund the foundation came from the same set. All windows were vitrified and received the imitations of curtains. Finally, the painting with PLAKA colours took place: the roof tiles were painted red, the external walls white. The originally red chimney now became white as well. The timber claddings at the top sides of the gable walls were painted light brown. So, finally an interesting model has arisen from a simple toy.
