3. Specialized Dealer For Colours And Varnishes

Front view

This building of a specialist dealer for colours and varnishes was originally a drug store. But as the Faller model had not been assembled really carefully, I decided for a renovation, which however, should become more extenisve then the assembly of the kit itself.

The windows in the upper floor have been replaced completely. Instead of the Faller windows I used Auhagen window frames now; their retaining straps were cut off before, and the frames were stuck directly in the window openings then. On the outer walls new stucco elements were installed, which came from the same Auhagen set.

In the ground floor, the walls were partially replaced, too. The new walls, of cousre, were fitted with other then the original windows. Most of the old walls in the ground floor was removed - only the corners and foundations survived. In these openings the new wall parts were inserted.

The already existing wheathering of the roof was kept The building also got a additional porch for the entrance door and finally and extension on the back side. I chose cardboard for the construction of this extension.
