I got the Dressel clothing store building as a heirloom, the previous owner had assembled it with parts and remainders from severel different kits.
It was standing unchanged on my layout for several year. Then, the 2007 layout conversion came, and the building was suposed to be used for the new city of Altburg eventually. Now, the not really fitting rear facade disturbed the overall impression. On its old location, that facade could simply not be seen. As some damages had occured anyway, I decided for a conversion in mid 2009, including a completely new rear facade and an improvend of the front facade. Moreover, the conversion included a new roof.
