| Model Railway Corner - The Wide World On Small Tracks! |
Who is still remembering how happy he has been when he recieved his first three-axled tank loco as a Christmas or birthday present? Who is still remebering the fun he had when "playing" with that loco? Today, most of us aren't "playing" anymore with their trains, instead they are doing "professional" railroading, but unluckily, for many their trains have become something quite serious, nothing related to fun anymore. This constraint idea to "copy" the prototype exaclty true to scale has lead to the result that many of us aren't seeing a hobby anymore in their trains, but more a science!
These sites adress everybody who are doing their model railway hobby for fun and pleasure, but not as a science or even as a "financial investment". Not everything is exactly true to scale here, no place for nitpicking, rivet counting etc.! These are sites for all model train enthusiasts who like to see their trains running on the layout and not standing in some display case! Those who aren't very inspired when they see a single diorama or module which doensn't allow any real railway operation, or a display case full of trains which haven't seen tracks in decades. So, all those are adressed who could preserve something of this fun and pleasure of their childhood days when they got their first three-axled tank loco.
The Model Railway Corner offers some interesting topics for model railway enthausiasts. Self-made houses, tracks plans, converting locos, interesting layout reports, and a number of forums...just have a look at it, you will certainly enjoy it! A particulary speciality - everybody can present an own layout report here. Also other contributions - like track plans or instructions for converting locos - are always welcome. Here, still real creativity is demanded - this is also the motto of these sites - OWN CREATIVITY INSTEAD OF RIVET COUNTING!
