From 1957 to 1988 Märklin offered a model of the Da class of the Swedish State Railways (SJ), with the catalogute number #3030. Dfferent versions of the loco with an 1'C'1 were preesented. The E 32 der DB / DRG had the same axle configuration. 29 engines were put into service be the DRG in the 1920ies. They remained in service until the early 1970ies; mostly they were used for passenger train service in Bavaria and Baden. In 1985 Primex presented an E 32 model, basing on the chassis of the classical Märklin model #3030 - the first real revised construction of Primex. Allthough not all details of the chassis - especially the blind wheel and the leading trucks - were not correct for an E 32, a beautiful model had come out which is really worth to be regarded. When Primex was discontinued this model lived on in the Märklin programe. |

The loco with the catalogue number modeled the loco 132 104-1, the last version of the prototype with EDV number. Until the 1980ies, Märklin used wrong pantographs for electric locomotives. The DB type DBS 54 - the prototype has originally been developed only for DB engines during the 1950ies, was mounted as well on old-style and other railway companies' models by Märklin. This locomotive however, already had the right pantographs (produced by Sommerfeld) from the first day on. Only the green varnished headstocks are a little bit simple, missing enginerrom imitiations are a deficiency of Märklin models as well; at least of several older constructions. The photo shows a model from the first series produced in 1985, with the driver's cab No. 2 near the blind wheel. The second series form 1986 had the driver's cab No. 1 near the blind wheel, like it is prototypical. |

Model #3187. This model shows the condition in which the locomotive left the factory halls, classificated as an "EP 2". The model came into programe in 1990 and remained there until Primex was discontinued in 1992. This version also has front doors with gangways - typical for electric locomotives at that time. |
