| The Packings Of Primex | |
|
During the first years, Primex models were packed in cardboard boxes. The boxes for wagons were collapsible boxes, the locomotives were packed in boxes with a styrofoam inset, they were opened by flipping open a cap, similar to the Märklin boxes of that time. Later on blister pack were indtroduced, which were pasted up with a label on both sides. To open the box the label had to be removed. This was also the case for locomotive boxes, which kept, however their styrofoam inset. Wagon boxes now got blister insets fitting to teh wagon. Unluckily these boxes don't have a long lifetime. When one packs or packs up his model often, flaps break off, as well es the blister insets fall apart soon. |
