| What To Do With Simplified Primex Models? | ||
| "Real" model realroaders don't want to see simplified trains on their layout. So, what to do if one has any simplified Primex locos or cars? Not always one has to withdraw such a model from service. If it is a "rare" and well paid collector's item - Ebay is just the best way in this case! But why not "tuning" a "normal" Primex item which doesn't outsell so well? |

| The solution for freight cars without lettering is quite simple. Decails are available for many models, and so the cars can now be operated on the layout without attracting attention. If complete parts are missing - just order them as a spare part! |

Even if it is hardly to believe - this coach, looking like a Märklin #4051, is in fact a former Primex #4011 model! The previous owner has not only installed windows with varnished window frames (or has varnished them himself) but also an interior furnishing! Regarding the picture alone, no one would think of the old, cheap Primex model... |

| The "original" old Märklin E 63 had handrails which were extra assembled. Not so the Primex version. The previous owner, however, has retrofitted them, as well as several parts of the electrical and other equipment on the roof. |

This is model belongs Christian Hammann . It's a tuned #3010, a BR 38. It now has complete valve gear rods, as well as the lettering has been completed with decails. The loco's running number now is 38 2383. Christian's Homepage (in German language!): |
